Kass-Haff  S.à r.l. SIS

More than a farm!

Kass-Haff is a biodynamic educational farm whose mission is to encourage a return to sustainable agriculture and a different relationship with the land, nature, animals and our food.

The farm welcomes groups for educational visits all year round, as well as members of the general public, who can come to this mini village any day of the week to stroll around with their families, observe and stroke the animals, learn about farm work, cheese-making and gardening, and buy organic food produced on site.

Since 2013, Kass-Haff has occupied this idyllic hillside site near Rollingen, which covers more than 100 hectares. 25 hectares are given over to crops and 75 are made up of meadows, 25 of which have been transformed into biotopes. As well as agricultural production, the farm includes a Biog cheese dairy, farm sales via the Naturata shop and a Waldorf school kindergarten, all of which operate in complete synergy. Two beekeepers have been able to set up swarms of bees on the site, benefiting from its high biodiversity.

Animals flourishing thanks to animal welfare.

80 Montbéliarde calves, including 35 dairy cows, have found a space adapted to their species at Kass-Haff. This breed is particularly appreciated for the superior quality of its milk. The milk is used to make a range of cheeses and yoghurts at the BIOG cheese dairy. The calves are reared under the mother's care, meaning that they are not separated from the mother immediately after birth, but stay for a longer period. The Kass family holds rearing animals in a way that respects their species.
