Planting walnut trees, a crazy idea? Not really, his small farm did not allow him to do "like the big guys", so André Zewen planted some 1150 grafted walnut trees since 1982. Sheep breeding for direct sale helped him to get through the long wait for the walnut trees to come into production (a dozen years). Now, the two productions complement each other in a harmonious system of fruit agroforestry, with multiple and scientifically proven ecological advantages. 

His Philosophy: Planting trees to hope to benefit from them one day, is to have a long and very long term vision, a vision that goes beyond us. Let's learn to observe and listen to trees. They are a model of generosity, solidarity and durability. His passion and patience have allowed André to harvest certified organic nuts and to produce organic lamb meat.
