Den Daachdecker

In 1992, the company Den Daachdecker was founded in Vichten by Raymond Nesen and Patrick Kraemer. In 2003, the company moved to the neighbouring village of Michelbouch. Since 2015, Patrick Kraemer has left the company. Léa Nesen became co-owner instead. 

For more than 20 years, the material, such as zinc, has been processed manually by the employees, because this industry cannot and does not want to rely on technical assistance, as manual, human skills are indispensable. The company relies on employees with many years of experience, who are continuously offered further training in order to maximise the service for our customers. 

In the beginning, the focus was exclusively on the work of the roofing contractor, but this has changed over the years. The demand for zinc has steadily increased as the material has become more popular. At that time, the sheet metal beating work was still done by the founders, but today, employees have been hired specifically for this purpose in order to meet the demand. 

Another change in recent years has been the focus on optimising the insulation. The decision was made to use cellulose insulation. The necessary further training was successfully completed, so that Den Daachdecker is a certified Isocell cellulose insulation specialist company.
